Security Agencies Strategise To Tackle Kidnapping In FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhammad Musa Bello, has said the security agencies have briefed the security committee of the territory on their plans and strategies to fight kidnapping. Cases of kidnapping in the territory have risen recently with over 30 persons reported to have been kidnapped since the beginning of 2021. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, yesterday, declared that they have lost confidence in the neutrality and capacity of community policing to serve the purposes assigned to it in the Police Act 2020. IMF Backs CBN On Cryptocurrency Ban

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has expressed support for the directive    of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that banks should close all accounts related to cryptocurrency transactions. School Abduction: FG, Niger Govt In Talks With Kagara Kidnappers

The federal and Niger State governments are using a third party to reach out to the bandits who abducted schoolboys and their teachers at the Government Science College Kagara. Governor Sani Bello who addressed the press on Wednesday said 27 students, three staff and 12 members of their families were abducted. The school has a population of over 1,000 students.
